Everyone has a different reason for playing walking netball. Every reason is a great one!
Sport isn’t just about keeping healthy — it’s about having fun. For lots of kids, traditional outdoor team sports either don’t feel enjoyable or simply aren’t an option.
Walking Netball changes that. It’s the sport where goals are scored but not counted, where the grinners really are the winners. It’s relaxed, it’s fun, and it’s a much bigger challenge than people expect.
Some teenagers play because they’re recovering from injury or have a disability that makes running or jumping difficult. Some boys want to get on court just like the dads who’ve been watching from the sidelines for years. Others simply want a game without the pressure of competition — a place to play, laugh and enjoy themselves.
For many kids, it’s also a way to get moving, try something new and meet new friends.
Walking Netball has something for everyone.
To help us get Walking Netball Juniors off the ground, we’re asking families to complete a quick Expression of Interest. It isn’t a commitment — it simply helps us understand how many kids want to play, what ages we’re planning for, and how we should structure the program. The more accurate our numbers, the better we can design sessions that work for everyone who’s keen to join in.
